Youth and Family Call Committee Update

August 11, 2010

This past month has been one of re-birth for the Call Committee. After regrouping and reassessing in early July, we are pleased to report that we have embarked on our second round of candidate interviews for the Youth and Family Pastor. At this point, we have received the names of four excellent candidates from the Synod. Each of these candidates possess great strength and vision in the area of youth and family ministry and the committee is thankful to have such committed candidates to interview during the month of August.

The interviews have begun as we have met with two of the four candidates for first round interviews. These two candidates impressed us with their passion for ministry, especially in the areas of youth and family. Each of them has unique strengths and abilities that would be an asset to Christ the King. In the next two weeks, we have set up interviews with our second two candidates. At the same time, the committee continues to move forward with our first interview candidates and are looking ahead to the next weeks to begin scheduling and performing second interviews. Clearly we are energized by our current candidates and don’t want to hesitate in our journey with them.

This month has continued the Committee’s exciting journey in the search for a Youth and Family Pastor for Christ the King. We enter this next phase with great hopes for the candidates that we are blessed to be introduced to thus far. The Committee welcomes your questions throughout this process and thanks everyone for their prayerful support.

Please read through this ministry profile.
