What's Happening at CtK?

August 25, 2010

Thanks for paying attention to "What's Happening at CtK?"

Here is the Bible verse for the week.

God has said, 'I will never leave you or forsake you.' So we can say with confidence,

'The Lord is my helper;

   I will not be afraid.

What can anyone do to me?'  Remember your leaders, those who spoke the word of God to you; consider the outcome of their way of life, and imitate their faith. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and for ever. Through him, then, let us continually offer a sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of lips that confess his name.  Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have, for such sacrifices are pleasing to God.

 Worship and Musi

Sunday, August 22

We had 464 people in attendance at worship.  A special Thanks to Cheri Aldridge and Joel Hoeger for bringing us special music at both services.   And thanks again to our Celebrate team for leading the 10:30 worship service.

Sunday, August 29

Our own male a cappella ensemble, Crown of Light, with help from some guest singers, will be providing special music this Sunday.  Bob Dowma, Doug Chapman, Larry Gere, Bruce Phelps, Tom Phelps, and David Phelps will be singing some great gospel music at both services.

Wednesday, September 1

The Sanctuary Choir will hold their annual fall pot-luck in conjunction with their first rehearsal as they gear up for another year of music making.  Anyone interested in singing in the choir is invited to come at 6:30 to the Fireside Lounge for great food.  Rehearsal will be at 7:30 in the sanctuary.

Wednesday, September 8

The King's Ringers will hold their annual fall pot-luck in conjunction with their first rehearsal.  If you are interested and would like more information, please contact Allison Leding, director or Bruce Phelps, our Minister of Music.

We are always looking for more people to get involved in our music ministry.  Please check the Herald for start-up rehearsal dates and times or if you have any questions,  contact our Minister of Music.  Bruce Phelps here at the church office.

Children, Youth and Family Ministry

Family Fellowship Event

Our Family Fellowship Event was a lot of fun!  Children from infant through grade 3 and their parents celebrated God's Gift of Summer and wondered and marveled at all that our awesome God included in creating summer & our world...flowers, ladybugs, minnows, worms, legs that can run and arms that can throw, voices that can sing and mouths that can taste blue bird cookies and dirt pie (?!)  God is Good!

Don't forget to register for Sunday school!

We need to know you are coming so that we can be ready for you!
