.....serve one another in love. - Galatians 5:13

At our first mission effort for Soup for the Soul, we served about 60 cups of soup and distributed 30 blankets. Most of our efforts were concentrated near the Salvation Army in Minneapolis.
This team was fantastic- since this was new, we were honestly winging it. It is incredible how God just makes things fall into place- and they certainly did. We started out by the Basillica and met a few men there who enjoyed the soup very much. We then moved on to the Salvation Army where we served and chatted with many people. Often it seems they just want someone to listen to their story- to know that they do have hope and are trying in the best way they know how to improve their situation.
We have another event next Sunday and I can only hope it will be as fruitful. We'll also be looking at adding more events of this type for 2011 since we were able to connect with so many people.
I have attached our official recap form for your reference as well.
Thanks!
