Who are the GenM’ers?. . . . .
Do you have the qualifications to be a GenM’er?
What are they doing?..
When are they doing it?... Where are they doing it?... Why are they doing it?...
GenM stands for Generation Mature. GenM is the newly formed group of CtK members and friends who want to get together with other GenMers for education and social fellowship opportunities.
GenMers will meet twice a month. The second Tuesday of each month they will gather for an educational experience. A social event will be held one of the last two weeks of each month, and the day and time will vary with each particular event.
If you are over 55 years old and/or mature, you are invited attend GenM events! Sometimes we will venture out for the day, sometimes we will stay at church; but we will always have a good time and sometimes learn stuff too.

NOERENBERG MEMORIAL GARDENS TOUR
(need coordinator)
The Twin Cities area is blessed with some of the most extensive and attractive urban gardens in the country. This lovely garden on Lake Minnetonka's Crystal Bay in Wayzata, once a private paradise, is now a Hennepin County park. It is actually many gardens in one. There is a collection of more than 1,000 daily daylily cultivars, a grape arbor and an azalea collection, as well as many perennials and annuals. The formal flower gardens are designed and maintained by master gardeners.
If you are willing to coordinate the Noerenberg Gardens tour, please call Marion Bowen at 763-754-0282.

The Carl W. Kroening Interpretive Center is located at North Mississippi River Regional Park Interpretive Center. North Mississippi Regional Park is located between I-94 and the west bank of the Mississippi River in North Minneapolis.
Designed a green building, the visitor center takes advantage of natural lighting, cabinets made from shells of sunflower seeds, wheat, and recycled woods and plastics. The building's shape and the many windows are placed such that the Center can take full advantage of the light from outside, lowering the use of electricity. Exhibits telling the story of the Mississippi River and the impact it had on the surrounding community are displayed at the center. A walking trail extends along the entire length of the park. Bridges on both end connect to east bank trails. The park also has a picnic area and shelters, a wading pool and areas that are being restored to native prairie. A heron rookery can be seen on a mid-river island in the southern portion of the park.
Watch for more information about these events in the upcoming Herald.
