About the Foundation
Christ the King Foundation is a non-profit organization which was established in 1989. Its purpose is to provide funds for religious, educational and charitable needs not funded by the annual church budget. Foundation trustees have the financial responsibility to preserve donated gifts and to make careful investment decisions which will annually produce earnings.
Gifts to the Foundation stand apart from regular stewardship gifting. As the Christ the King Foundation continues to grow, it will provide a vital Christian witness to our church, the community and global missions.

The Christ the King Foundation has been pleased to be a part of developing the programs and services at the Local Mission Partners which supports the ministries at the Redeemer Lutheran church, Pueblo de Fe (Latino ministry), Hospitality Center for Chinese, and Hmong Central Lutheran Church.
In 2007 the $3000 awarded to the Local Mission Partners served as emergency funds to support ministry, housing for a displaced family, matching funds to acquire funding from several other funding sources, and reserves for emergency, matching and start-up costs.
In 2008 the Foundation has awarded $3,500 for three new innovative programs. 1) There will be a Hmong Central Young Couples Retreat to encourage young couples to grow in their faith, match their skills to needs in the church community and to get involved. 2) The World As We See It is a program for youth of Redeemer Lutheran Church where they become involved in the photography of things in their own family life, creating pictures that are eventually framed and displayed at various churches and places in the community. These displays share insights into the culture and life of the youth, and some of the photography is sold, supporting the program and also providing a small stipend back to the youth who did the photography. 3) The third program involves development of a bilingual website that will be interactive, allowing individuals who speak Chinese to become engaged and welcomed as new students before they come from China; display current pictures, events, classes, and services at the Hospitality Center; post available furniture, bicycles, or kitchenware; and share Bible verses or Christian literature (rotating daily on the front page).
