About the Foundation
Christ the King Foundation is a non-profit organization which was established in 1989. Its purpose is to provide funds for religious, educational and charitable needs not funded by the annual church budget. Foundation trustees have the financial responsibility to preserve donated gifts and to make careful investment decisions which will annually produce earnings.
Gifts to the Foundation stand apart from regular stewardship gifting. As the Christ the King Foundation continues to grow, it will provide a vital Christian witness to our church, the community and global missions.

REFLECTIONS on 2009
All too frequently we become so swept up into the activities associated with the Christmas season and beginning a new year that we forget to take a few moments to reflect on the past year and the blessings it brought us.
Contributions to the CTK Foundation in 2009 were down from previous years, but thanks to individual contributions, memorial contributions, and proceeds from the CTK golf tournament the Foundation assets increased by over $3,300. The Foundation board of trustees wants to express a sincere Thank You to all who contributed to the Foundation in 2009.
Economically, 2009 was a very tight year but careful management of the investment vehicles used by the Foundation produced an increase of over $80,000 in its asset base. With this increase, the value of the Foundation’s assets is over $336,000 as we begin 2010.
In 2009 the Foundation awarded $13,700 in grants. Recipients of the 2009 grants included Christ the King church for the chancel remodeling project, Community Partners with Youth, Global Missions for an oil milling machine, the Urban Leadership Academy, Global Missions for the Tanzania Demonstration Plot pilot, and the Eagle Scout Fire Ring Project for Christ the King. As we begin 2010, the Foundation board of trustees has a grant distribution target for the year of approximately $16,000.
The CTK Foundation board of trustees would like to thank everyone who has partnered with the Foundation since its inception. It is because of these partnerships that the Foundation has been able to provide seed money for a large number of projects that have allowed an expansion of Christ the King’s ministry. We would also encourage individuals give prayerful consideration to including the Foundation in their estate planning so that the Foundation assets could continue to grow and allow an even greater outreach of CTK’s ministries.
