Stepping Up: A Journey Through the
Psalms of Ascent By Beth Moore
This is her newest study.
This detailed seven session study of Psalms 120-134 engages participants in unique opportunities for personal reflection and worship while exploring the background/writer of each. Just as a song can express feelings of fear, doubt, hope and joy these 15 psalms model how study participants can voice their own petitions and praises to our God, who is always available and ready to hear us. There are five daily assignments per week, which require approximately 30 minutes per day.
Mondays, 12:30 to 2:30 PM and Wednesdays, 6:00 to 7:15 PM.
Study to begin next Fall.

Holding Out for a Hero By Lisa Harper
This study is focused on the book of Hebrews. Ms. Harper discusses such timeless themes as trusting God in tough times, holding onto hope when life is hard, and the importance of running toward God when you feel like running away. This study helps readers understand what life was like for a Jewish Christian during the first century and parallels that to our own trials today. This book also features an interactive DVD in which Lisa leads a group of women through the study and addresses the reader personally. There are twelve chapters in the book which will be covered over a six week period. This study began April 14, for 6 weeks.

Disciple: Becoming Disciples Through Bible Study Published by Cokesbury
This 34-week study gives equal time to both Old and New Testaments, emphasizing the wholeness of the Bible as the revelation of God. DISCIPLE aims at transformation, not just information, and calls on persons to submit themselves to examination by Scripture, to put themselves under the power of God’s word and be changed by God’s word. The study requires reading large portions of Scripture each week and is based on careful study and preparation. DISCIPLE is a program of disciplined Bible study aimed at developing strong Christian leaders. It focuses on the disciple as learner, believer, follower, proclaimer, and servant while providing the fellowship of a small group for study, prayer, preparation, support, and servanthood. Though this study will begin in the fall, we would like to have a rough idea of who is interested.
Mondays 12:30 to 2:30, beginning next Fall.
